I immediately lost lots of folks who I used to think were my friends--men and women. Next to Cafe Tortoni. Very cheap and very good professors.Michellehttp://www.giorgioshouse.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29173400.post-89091774359564203232009-06-10T15:37:21.305-03:002009-06-10T15:37:21.305-03:00StillLife, sometimes love just hurts so good... ;-...StillLife, sometimes love just hurts so good... ;-)

Tina, yup, I hear ya on the now-ex. It's just bizarre. It gets a little stressfull trying to make sure you get to everyone. If I don't get to them when I arrive or leave, I try to catch their eye as their dancing. At least I'm sitting down!Evie Abathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16924136853916286932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29173400.post-84453119837117664292009-06-10T15:30:27.227-03:002009-06-10T15:30:27.227-03:00Your description is so dead-on, TJ. I know he loves me when he's not beating me.

(Yes, just a wee bit sensitive...)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29173400.post-92097283745876506832009-06-10T15:21:27.338-03:002009-06-10T15:21:27.338-03:00Great post!

It gets exhausting greeting everyone, making sure you don't miss anyone. Sometimes I can't physically get over but I try to at least make eye contact, smile, blow a kiss, say "hola" and all that.

I once had a girl dis me at a milonga after greeting me every week. Coincidentally my now ex and I had decided to go public with our relationship (as in, show up together, etc). So... there ya have it. :-)

On another note, now that I've been in the States for a couple of months, I'm so used to making sure I greet everybody that I am now experiencing the shock of how people just don't bother to greet anybody at all here, saying hello or goodbye. I still go out of my way though. Might as well set a good example. :-)Tinahttp://tinatangos.com/blognoreply@blogger.com
